Digital Heritage?
We leave digitalized pieces of life and memories everywhere. But what will happen to our Instagram account and Amazon Prime membership as we die?
Apple IOS 15 allows adding multiple people you trust to access the data in your Apple account after your death; 遗嘱宝 allows leaving your virtual will on the Wechat Application before death.
But is there any way to keep the memory or personal life pieces permanently and our grandgrandgrandchildren after centuries can still get to know us?
That's a problem of preserving personal digital heritage. The technology of NFT may give an answer.
Interview Consolidation
Do you want to preserve your digital heritage?

As an experimentally innovative product, we created an ideal user profile who have certain digital world exposure and would love to preserve their digital heritage virtually as NFT.
But we also conducted interviews to see people's attitudes towards preserving digital heritage and using this digital heritage preserving app.
Interview Insights
We interviewed six interviewees
-
Aged from 15 to 70
-
3 males and 3 females
-
Different jobs from students, working adults, and retired elderly

- Maintaining concerns include losing privacy and asset transferring issues.

Takeaway
According to the interview, preserving personal digital heritage is currently not in strong demand yet. One of the reflections is that NFT as new technology has limited exposure to ordinary people so far. However, Mnemon aims to explore the potential application of NFT as a rising technology. We believe NFT technology has a promising application in the near future.
The main takeaway of this project is experiencing the process of product design, especially being specific on conducting user research, illustrating user flow, and documenting the design system. I enjoyed working on this project to design a product as wanted.
